RAINBOW FAMILY SUPPORT ALLIANCE

OUR METHODOLOGY

OUR METHODOLOGY

OUR METHODOLOGY

Building Alliances and Inclusion; we build alliances of support for LGBT and LGBT families and our operations are Inclusive of LGBT and non-LGBT but with the LGBT as the key person; we do it for LGBT with mainly LGBT. With inclusion, LGBT people will interact, serve and operate in mainstream society so that their abilities are visible and appreciated by everyone and if it cannot be avoided, trainings for and about LGBT will be in spaces that also include non-LGBT people to foster interaction and cooperation to close the gaps between the two groups.

THE CONCEPT OF FAMILY IN RFSA

In RFSA, family is broadened to mean; families with LGBT (biological families of the LGBT), families for LGBT (started by the LGBT), and the LGBT family (the LGBT community; all LGBT in a given geographical scope from which the target LGBT receives support) and so RFSA work touches all the above categories of families. If an LGBT person’s biological family cannot at all accept the LGBT, RFSA finds a support family for the LGBT within or outside a given geographical scope so that the LGBT gets a support group to find comfort, encouragement and fulfillment.
